Investment Objective

The investment objective is to provide long-term capital appreciation with a total return greater than the return of the S&P 500 Index on a rolling three-year basis.
The fund will primarily (meaning not less than 75% of its Net Asset Value) invest in equity securities traded principally on stock exchanges and regulated markets that the Manager has identified as undervalued and that are issued by companies that have their registered office or carry out a predominant portion of their economic activity (meaning not less than 51%) in the US.

Nature and Extent of Risks

Investment involves risks. Please refer to the offering documents for details including the risk factors.
1. General investment risk
The fund’s investment portfolio may fall in value due to any of the key risk factors below and therefore your investment in the fund may suffer losses. There is no guarantee of the repayment of principal.
2. Equity market risk
The fund’s investment in equity securities is subject to general market risks, whose value may fluctuate due to various factors, such as changes in investment sentiment, political and economic conditions and issuer-specific factors.
3. Concentration risk
The fund’s investments are concentrated in the US. The value of the fund may be more volatile than that of a fund having a more diverse portfolio of investments. The value of the fund may be more susceptible to adverse economic, political, policy, foreign exchange, liquidity, tax, legal or regulatory event affecting the US market.
4. Risk of specific investment strategy
The Manager’s proprietary investment model may not achieve the desired results under all circumstances and market conditions.
5. Risks associated with investment in financial derivative instruments (FDIs)
Risks associated with FDIs include counterparty/credit risk, liquidity risk, valuation risk, volatility risk and over the counter transaction risk. In adverse situations, the fund's use of FDI may become ineffective in hedging or efficient portfolio management purposes and may result in significant losses to the fund. The leverage element/component can result in a loss significantly greater than the amount invested in the FDI by the fund.
6. Risks relating to securities lending transactions
Securities lending transactions may involve the risk that the borrower may fail to return the securities lent out in a timely manner and the value of the collateral may fall below the value of the securities lent out.
